Characters
Alethea Fallen is the main character of this story and the story exists within her bubble of reality. If she starts to seem confused as to why someone would do something, it's because in her reality, it doesn't make sense. She has built her own reality in order to cope with the death of her big brother, Scott and the divorce of her parents. She lives with her mother, Sevti, whom she hardly ever sees. One interesting fact about Alethea's reality is that there are no men that could very well be explained by the fact that the men in her family are no longer there and she goes to an all girls' school, so her actual contact with men has been minimal.
She tends to isolate herself from the world as she prefers to live in her "dream" her perception of reality and might very well be doomed to the same fate as Scott unless she can pull herself out of her depression.
Sevti Fallen is Alethea's mother. She is currently divorced from her husband, Kevin whom left because he blamed her for Scott's sucide. She is trying to help Alethea through the rough transition of losing both of the male members of her family and is pushing herself by working two jobs in order to prevent them from having to move. She is having a hard time holding what's left of the family together but she is determined that she can help Alethea before it becomes too late. Her current employment is as a Secretary and as a bartender at a local strip club called, "Fluxx".
Karin Eos is a very bright and cheerful girl, although Alethea seems to suspect that it's really just a mask to hide some unlying pain. She seems to honestly care about Alethea and wants to help her, but is not sure of how. She is a good friend that would do anything to protect her friends from getting hurt. She is a amauter photographer and is very shy.
An interesting thing to notice is that Karin has a tendency to make Alethea's reality fluxuate and might be the key to waking Alethea from her dream. It almost makes you wonder if Karin is a real person or is really an aspect of Alethea's psyche that still wants to be accepted. Only when or if Alethea wakes from her dream will anyone know if Karin is a real person.
Ahalya and Sitara Eos are Karin's older sisters, who happen to be twins. They are Karin's only surviving family.
